Working as a Music PR, it never mattered to me whether you were working alongside an industry legend like Kid Creole or Wang Chung, or a breakthrough act just starting to make a name for themselves, what made so many of these bands and musicians incredible was the stories they had stories to share. For me this was just as important as how good the music was, or how polished their videos were.
Music is such a creative faculty after all, and if you’re just in it for the money these days then you have a long road ahead to you. In order to create a lasting fanbase, the best piece of advice is always to allow people to know who YOU are as people. Create a lasting impression. Be in it for the long haul. I’m passionate about each and every artist I share, and try to cater to as many palettes as exist.
What’s important for me is that you help me help you. Most of what I get sent is from PR companies, and I don’t much care for the arrogance of how many ‘likes’ a page or a person has. If you want me to help promote your album, then help me promote my work. This site will never receive renumiration for ads and I get nothing from this other than the kind few of you who have offered donations to help keep me fed and warm. While any and all donations are greatly appreciated (links at the bottom of each article), that’s not what this is about. Let’s get your music heard. Our fans are out there waiting.
